Tarakki — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 May 2026

This policy explains what data Tarakki ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Tarakki mobile app or the web dashboard at utilzone-taraki-d65d8.web.app, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Tarakki is a customer-management and billing app for small shops, operated by UtilZone. Contact: utilzone@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — your name, email and profile photo (provided by Google Sign-In).
• Shop profile — shop name, owner name, phone number, address, service category, and a map location you pin yourself.
• Customer records you enter — customer names, phone numbers, addresses, vehicle / item numbers, visit history, message-send counts, and bills.
• Bills — itemised entries (item name, quantity, price), discounts, GST and totals.
• Message templates — text you type for WhatsApp reminders, including personal notes you add to messages.
• Images — photos you pick from your device that you want attached to WhatsApp reminders.
• Agent details (if you are an authorised agent) — phone, city, UPI ID and PAN number for commission payouts.
• Diagnostic logs — anonymous crash and error reports so we can fix bugs.

3. What we do NOT collect

• We do not access your phone contacts.
• We do not read or store the content of WhatsApp messages you actually send (we only count how many you sent per customer).
• We do not collect precise device location in the background.
• We do not collect financial card or bank details.

4. How we use your data

• To run the service — store your customers, generate bills, send reminders, show analytics.
• To restrict your data to your shop only. Other shops cannot see your customers, bills or templates.
• To provide super-admin support if you contact us via the Feedback feature.
• To improve the product (aggregated, anonymised usage trends only).

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Google Cloud / Firebase — our hosting provider, which stores your data securely. See Firebase Privacy.
• Google Maps — when you pin your shop or include a maps link in a bill.
• WhatsApp — when you send a reminder or bill, the message and PDF are handed off to WhatsApp via your device.
• Indian authorities — only when legally required.

6. Storage and security

Data is stored on Google Cloud servers (Firebase Firestore). All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. We retain data for as long as your account is active.

7. Your choices

• Edit / delete — you can edit or delete any customer, bill, template or image from inside the app.
• Account deletion — write to utilzone@gmail.com from your registered email and we will permanently delete your account and all associated shop data within 30 days.
• Language preference — set your preferred UI language (English, Hindi, Marathi) in Profile.

8. Children

Tarakki is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Effective date" at the top will change. Material changes will be announced in the app.
